Märchenwald Saalburg

Just a stone's throw from Germany's largest reservoir, the Bleiloch reservoir in Thuringia, not far from the A9 motorway, lies the Saalburg Fairytale Forest in the village of Saalburg-Ebersdorf. Stories have been coming to life here since 1990. Around 40 different scenes from many well-known fairy tales such as Hansel and Gretel, Snow White or Sleeping Beauty have been lovingly depicted here. The landmark of the Fairytale Forest is the large witch's house on the hillside, which houses a museum. In addition to the fairy tales, some attractions such as a Luna or disco boats are a welcome change for the little ones.
