Himeji Central Park / 姫路セントラルパーク

Himeji Central Park, affectionately known as “Himecen” by locals, is a unique destination in Japan’s Hyogo Prefecture. The park fascinatingly combines a sprawling safari park with an action-packed amusement park, offering entertainment for the whole family. The heart of the park is the safari adventure: whether in your own car or on a safari bus, you’ll embark on an exciting drive-through tour right through the habitats of lions, tigers, and elephants. Those who want to get even closer to the animals can take the walking safari or enjoy a bird’s-eye view from a cable car. A special feature starting in summer 2026: Himecen is the only safari park in Japan that allows visitors to bring their own dogs on the tour. Right next door, the amusement park provides thrills.
