Hänsel und Gretel (2)

Hansel and Gretel lived with their parents in a house outside a dark forest. The parents were in great need. They did not have enough to eat. So they decided to take their children away. Early in the morning they went into the forest with Hansel and Gretel and left them there alone. But the two of them found their way back. Another time they were taken into the forest, this time even deeper. The two got lost and could not find their way back. Night came, it was cold and they were hungry and scared and hardly slept at all. When the sun shone again, they went on hungrily and came to a wonderful little house made of bread and cakes.
