Right in the heart of the colorful “Happy Ocean” themed area, a very special ride awaits the youngest visitors to “Happy Valley Shanghai”: the family roller coaster “Coastal Ant.” On this charming, bright blue steel roller coaster, even the tiniest adventurers—as long as they’re at least 90 cm tall (when accompanied by an adult)—can experience the real thrill of a roller coaster. The train, lovingly designed in an ant-style, is gently lifted to a child-friendly height of just under seven meters. From there, it sets off on a winding journey of discovery about 150 meters long, traveling at a family-friendly top speed of up to 30 km/h. The train whizzes through gentle valleys and fun curves—without any wild loops or steep drops. The best part: Because the ride is so much fun, the train usually completes two laps in a row before safely coming to a stop back at the station.
