Hansel and Gretel

A lumberjack once lived at the edge of a large forest with his wife and two children, Hansel and Gretel.

One day they ran out of money. "There is only one solution," said the woodcutter's wife. "We're taking Hansel and Gretel into the deep forest and leaving them there."

The man resisted, but the woman got her way. Because she wasn't the right mother, but the stepmother of Hansel and Gretel. But Hansel had heard everything.
The next day they set out with just a piece of bread for the road. "Give me your bread quickly, Gretel," whispered Hansel. "I have a plan."
After a while they came to a clearing. "Take a break here," said the woman. "We'll be right back."
That was of course not true, and after a long wait, Hansel and Gretel fell asleep.
When they woke up it was night. "Come on, Gretel, we're going home," said Hansel. But the birds had eaten all the breadcrumbs! They got lost more and more.

Suddenly they saw a little house between the trees. The roof was made of pretzels and speculoos, littered with chocolate, sour drops and colored candies.
How delicious! Hansel was just breaking off a piece of speculoos when he heard a voice. "Crisp, crisp, knäuschen, who is cracking my house? Come in, there are more delicious things here. "
They went in and immediately the door slammed shut behind them. You were in a wicked witch's house. "There I have you, I'll eat you up," she said to Hansel.
In the weeks that followed, Hansel sat in a cage and was fattened by the witch. One day she decided it was time. "Turn on the stove, girl." Gretel did what was asked of her, but forged another plan ...

Will Hansel and Gretel ever return home?
