De Bremer Stadsmuzikanten

The Bremen Town Musicians

A donkey was already quite old and weak, which is why its master wanted to take it away. The donkey therefore ran away to Bremen to earn its food as a town musician.

On its way the donkey met a dog. This too was so old that his master wanted to kill him and he ran away the same way. “Come with me to Bremen to become a town musician there. I play the lute and you play the drums! ”Said the donkey.

Both met an old cat whose wife they want to drown. Then she left. "Come with us to Bremen and become a town musician." Said donkey and dog.

It wasn't long before they came across a rooster that was to become a festive evening meal. This also joined the three animals. And together they had a great adventure.
