Märchenwald Altenberg

In Odenthal, North Rhine-Westphalia, about 7 km from Bergisch Gladbach and about 11 km from Leverkusen, you will find the Altenberg Fairytale Forest, which has been around for over 90 years. This beautiful place, idyllically situated in the forest, offers families and friends of Grimm's fairy tales more than twenty lovingly designed buildings with partly moving figures and the most famous fairy tales of the Hanau brothers. After a walk through the fairytale forest, the Fairytale Forest Restaurant invites you to stop for refreshments. Another attraction is the water organ, where colourfully illuminated water figures move as if by magic to classical music. The Altenberg Fairytale Forest is a great destination for families with small children, grandparents and all fairytale lovers.
