Der Wolf und die 7 Geißlein

The mother goat has to leave the house and tells her seven little goats not to let anyone into the house during her absence. After she has left, the wicked wolf comes by and asks to be let in. However, the little goats recognise from the harsh voice that it is the wolf and not their mother who is at the door and do not let him in. The wolf then eats chalk to make his voice softer and returns to the goats' house. However, as the wolf puts his black paw on the window sill, the goats recognise the attempted deception and do not let him in. For the third attempt, the wolf has the baker spread dough on his foot and then forces the miller to dust it with flour. In this way he succeeds in deceiving the little goats, who then open the door. The wicked wolf storms in and eats six of the seven little goats, one of which manages to hide in the grandfather clock. When the mother returns home, the little goat slips out of its hiding place and tells of the attack and the eaten siblings.
