About the Park
In the US state of Florida, or rather on Merritt Island, which is well-known to all fans of space technology, the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is located in Cape Canaveral in the south of the island. On this 17-hectare visitor centre operated by NASA, which first opened its doors to visitors on 1 August 1967 and attracts around 1.7 million visitors a year, the various attractions and guided tours are divided into mission zones from the beginnings of space exploration to NASA's current and ongoing missions. For example, in the Rocket Garden, where you can admire various types of NASA rockets, you will also find a horizontal Saturn 5 rocket, one of the most powerful launch systems in space travel. With the guided bus tours to the Kennedy Space Center, you will learn everything about the missions during the approximately two-and-a-half-hour tours, discover the huge assembly halls of NASA's vehicle assembly buildings as you drive by and visit one of the visitor platforms where you can see the launch pads and the legendary launch pads 39A and 39B. The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex offers a great and, above all, exciting destination for all young and old space fans and those who want to become one.
