De Prinses op de Erwt

Once upon a time there was a prince who tried in vain to find a princess to marry. When a woman knocked on his door during a storm, he laid 20 mattresses and 20 duvets on top of each other and hid a single pea underneath. He was testing whether the woman was worthy of becoming his wife. One of many great fairy tales by Hans Christian Andersen.
