Gekion Live Coaster / 撃音 ライブ コースター

The Gekion Live Coaster is a one-of-a-kind, high-tech attraction that completely blurs the lines between virtual gaming and real-life thrills. As the world’s first spinning roller coaster featuring a spectacular inversion, this ride breaks all the traditional rules and whisks passengers away on an interactive cyberpunk adventure. The ride begins as a gripping rhythm video game, in which passengers use controllers mounted directly on the safety bar to score points in time with pulsing beats and familiar anime melodies. But shortly after the frenetic finale of the music battle, the ride mercilessly switches to adrenaline mode: Launched by a friction wheel, the train catapults riders at speeds of up to 38 km/h into a winding track layout. As the cars spin completely freely and unpredictably around their own axes, riders race through the darkness, going completely upside down once during a breathtaking inline twist. This ingenious combination of thrilling rhythm gameplay, a high-speed launch coaster, and wild flips makes the ride—for riders 130 centimeters or taller—an absolutely unforgettable experience for gaming and roller coaster fans alike.
