Tokyo Joypolis is a futuristic indoor amusement park in Tokyo, located on the artificial island of Odaiba within the DECKS Tokyo Beach shopping center. This fully enclosed and air-conditioned cyberpunk playground spans three floors and was largely designed by the world-famous video game company SEGA. It uniquely combines classic rides with state-of-the-art virtual reality, elaborate simulators, and nostalgic arcade elements. Among the absolute visitor favorites is the Gekion Live Coaster, a one-of-a-kind combination of a fast-paced rhythm video game and a real indoor roller coaster that accelerates using a friction wheel launch system. Another highlight is the Halfpipe Tokyo, where pairs must reach spectacular heights on a giant digital skateboard platform through perfectly synchronized weight shifts. Several immersive VR shooters, interactive horror mazes in the style of Japanese horror films, and rotating, temporary anime collaborations round out the offerings.
