This thrill ride from Italian manufacturer Zamperla is the ultimate test of courage for anyone who loves the feeling of complete disorientation. Once the shoulder restraints click into place, there’s no turning back. The gigantic main arms begin to move, whirling the freely suspended rows of seats to dizzying heights. But that’s just the beginning: As the arms circle, the gondolas flip completely unpredictably around their own axes in precise 360-degree cycles. Every second, heaven and earth switch places. The absolute highlight is the interplay with the computer-controlled water fountains directly below: right in the middle of the nosedive, massive walls of water shoot skyward, dousing riders with an ice-cold, adrenaline-fueled splash at the apex of the spin.
