About the Park
Around 20 kilometres from Dubai's coastline lies the Dubai Safari Park, which opened in December 2017. It replaced the Dubai Zoo, which had been open since 1967 and closed in the course of the reopening. Around 250 animal species are kept on a large area of around 119 hectares. The Safari Park is divided into several zones. These include Asian Village, African Village and Arabian Desert Safari. In the latter area, visitors pass through the replica of nature inspired by Asia's vast deserts and encounter animals such as the Arabian wolf. Visitors will find African elephants in the adjacent section of the park. For recreation, the Al Wadi area, located in the middle of the safari park, invites visitors to relax and enjoy a variety of food.
