Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo

Classically, we list amusement parks and zoos here in the app that are independent facilities. From time to time, however, it happens that - similar to Praha or Atlantis Aquarium Madrid - parks are part of an overall complex. The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, for example, is part of the Dubai Mall and has been there since it opened in 2008. At the time of its opening, it was the third-largest aquarium in the world, and even today countless visitors still come here. With a floor area of 51x20 metres at a height of 11 metres, the largest tank is filled with over 10 million litres of seawater from the Persian Gulf and is home to over 140 species of animals. A 48-metre-long glass tunnel (with a glass thickness of 75cm) on the ground floor makes the huge basin visible from below. In over 40 other small basins, there are far more than 33,000 sea animals and fish, crocodiles and giant crabs, penguins and also seals. On 3 floors, visitors pass through the Rainforest, Rocky Shore and Living Ocean areas.
