Ain Dubai – The world's largest Ferris wheel

Ain Dubai (also known as the ‘Dubai Eye’) is a true masterpiece of engineering and one of Dubai's most spectacular attractions. Ain Dubai is located on the artificial island of Bluewaters Island, just off the coast of Jumeirah Beach Residence.

At 250 metres high, it is not only the largest Ferris wheel in the world, but also a symbol of Dubai's vision of making the impossible possible. In addition to the viewing cabins, which offer a clear view of the skyline and the sea, especially for tourists, families and first-time visitors, Ain Dubai also has social cabins that offer a lounge atmosphere, often with bar service, and private cabins that are ideal for groups and events, such as exclusive celebrations, romantic dinners or corporate events.

Rides at sunset or in the evening, when Dubai's sea of lights shines in all its glory, are particularly popular. A ride on the Ferris wheel takes about 38 minutes.

The construction of Ain Dubai was a huge project and took several years. Construction began in 2015, with a total weight of over 11,200 tonnes of steel – that's around 33% more than the Eiffel Tower!

The axle of the wheel alone weighs around 1,800 tonnes. Some of the world's largest cranes were used for the assembly. The structure was built by Hyundai Engineering & Construction in collaboration with Starneth Engineering, the company behind the London Eye.
