Worlds of Fun & Oceans of Fun

In 1973, Worlds of Fun opened for the first time in Kansas City, Missouri under the management of Mid-America Enterprises. In 1982, the Oceans of Fun water park opened before the theme park was sold to the Cedar Fair Group for 40 million dollars in 1995. Today, the 95-hectare site is home to over forty different attractions, ranging from the classic children's carousel to various water rides, eight roller coasters and numerous rides that provide a real adrenaline kick. Highlights include the 92-metre-high SteelHawk, a kind of chain carousel at a dizzying height, the Boomerang roller coaster, the Timber Wolf wooden roller coaster or the roller coaster novelty 2023 Zambezi Zinger. In the Oceans of Fun, another fifteen attractions such as tube slides, speed slides, wave pools or paddling pools await the little ones.
