History:

• originally 2 ships
• Ship "Admiral Joe Fowler" (named after Disneyland's construction manager) served from October 2, 1971 through the fall of 1980
• Accidentally destroyed when it fell from a crane onto its dry dock
• Richard F. Irvine (named after a WED manager) entered service on May 20, 1973
• Renamed The Liberty Belle in 1996 after everything but the hull, boiler and engines were removed and a brand new aluminum and vinyl superstructure built.
• In 2018 the Liberty Belle was completely overhauled with a brand new boiler
