History:

• In 2007, the ride received a major update that added an interactive system to the vehicles that allowed passengers to create their own future. The ride also received a new soundtrack by Bruce Broughton and a new narration by actress Judi Dench.
• Spaceship Earth is scheduled to undergo a major refurbishment as part of the EPCOT park's major renovation. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, that renovation has been put on hold and the ride remains open to the public.
