The STRAT

On 30 June 1996, the Stratosphere Tower opened in Las Vegas, the largest city in Nevada and the cultural, infrastructural and economic centre of the US state. At the beginning of 2019, the renaming to The Strat was announced, meaning that the hotel, casino and, above all, the observation tower can be visited under a new name. At 350 metres, it is the tallest freestanding structure in the USA west of the Mississippi. The tower itself houses a revolving restaurant that rotates once around its axis within an hour, offering guests a complete panoramic view of Las Vegas and the surrounding area. The Strat was best known for the world's highest roller coaster, "High Roller", which opened on 30 April 1996 at a height of 280 metres and was installed there until 31 December 2005. The existing Big Shot freefall tower takes you up another 40 metres and X-Stream takes you over the edge of the tower. Real adrenalin for real thrill seekers.
