Description
El Aserradero was a technical masterpiece in its day. Angus G. Wynne Jr., the founder of Six Flags, was instrumental in developing the Log Flumes. Working with Arrow Dynamics, Six Flags spent around $ 300,000 on the new attraction. Of this, US $ 52,000 went to technology and research. During the tests, it turned out that the boats did not brake quickly enough. The fairway was deepened and the nose of the boat redesigned so that it pushes water away from the drive unit and slows it down faster. When the attraction was finished, the park didn't like the guests getting wet and changed the attraction again, which made the Log Flume less popular. So there was a renewed collaboration with Arrow Development, so that water splashed on the guests again.
