Six Flags Discovery Kingdom

opened in 1968 as "Marine World" as a zoo. In 1986 the park moved to Vallejo. When the first roller coasters moved in in 1997, the park developed rapidly until it was accepted into the Six Flags Group in 1999. Today it houses several roller coasters, thrills, family and water rides on 55 hectares.

It lies between San Francisco and Sacramento and is definitely worth a visit.
