About the Park
Five and a half hours by plane from Los Angeles (alternatively, you could also row a good 4,100 kilometres), the Hawaiian archipelago lies in the middle of the northern Pacific Ocean. On the northernmost island of O`Ahu (where the capital Honululu is also located) is Sea Life Park Hawaii, which belongs to the Parques Reunidos Group. It opened in 1964 on the east coast in Waimānalo and was incorporated into the group in 2008. Scenically located between the coast and a high plateau, this Sea Life focuses on sharks, dolphins, sea lions and penguins. The animals are housed in different habitats and are brought closer to the visitors in the form of interactive experiences or, in some cases, shows.
Among others, , or belong to the Parques Reunidos group.
Notes:
The park operates a dolphinarium. This form of keeping marine mammals is considered controversial and is banned in some countries. For reasons of objectivity, we list this park in the app. Please decide for yourself if you would like to visit this park.
