Palace Playland

Palace Playland is a traditional amusement park in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, around 165 kilometres north of Boston directly on Saco Bay. It was originally opened in 1902 and is now the only remaining beachfront amusement park in New England. Palace Playland began as a simple amusement park visited by summer holidaymakers in Old Orchard Beach. It offered classic attractions such as carousels and amusement arcades. Over the years, the park was expanded to keep up with the growing number of visitors. New rides and attractions were added to keep the park modern and attractive. However, the park was destroyed by fire several times, including a particularly devastating fire in the 1960s. However, it has always been rebuilt. Today, Palace Playland offers over 25 rides and attractions, including a large Ferris wheel, rollercoasters and a variety of amusement arcades. It remains a favourite attraction for families and tourists.
