Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park

In a rather unusual sequence, Deno's Wonder Wheel Amusement Park was opened: In 1920, the eponymous Ferris wheel (for many years the tallest attraction at 46 metres high) was built, in 1950 Ward`s Kiddie Park opened with children`s rides, and only many years later did it all come together to become the park known by its present name. As the current centrepiece of the park, one of the most popular attractions on Coney Island and an official landmark of New York City, the Ferris wheel is constantly maintained to this day, so that it could celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020.

With around 2 dozen rides, Deno's is now one of several leisure attractions on New York's Coney island, but focuses more on families with children than the directly adjacent Luna Park.
