Zoo Aquarium de Madrid

Based on a first zoo from 1770, the first zoo was opened in 1972 under the Franco government in the Spanish capital Madrid. In 1997, the zoo was sold to Parques Reunidos, which operates the , and in Germany, among others.

The division of the zoo into an aquarium and a zoo provides a corresponding diversity. Animals from all continents can be observed, so on one side there is a sea lion show, while on the other side white rhinos, giant pandas or Jackass penguins can be marvelled at.
