About the Park
Magliaso, on the right bank of Lake Lugano in the Swiss canton of Ticino, has been home to the privately run Zoo al Maglio-Neggio since 1974. Over 300 animals of around 60 species from various continents live on the zoo's 2.2 hectare site. In addition to the park's landmark, the lion, there are also various snakes, predators, monkeys, birds, turtles, raccoons, ponies and goats. The zoo offers various experience packages where you can get up close to the animals and even feed them. Maglio-Neggio Zoo is open all year round and is a great destination for a day out on Lake Lugano.
