Sikypark

The Swiss zoo Sikypark has been located in the Swiss canton of Bern, more precisely in Crémines, around 60 kilometres south of Basel, since 1972. Around 550 animals from over 70 species, including tigers, wolves, lynxes and parrots, live on the park's 5-hectare site. It is the only park in Switzerland where you can see white lions as well as white tigers or get very close to the birds in the largest walk-in large parrot aviary in Switzerland. In the summer months, you can also watch the falconers of the Sikypark at work with the birds of prey from the grandstand and attend the flight demonstrations. If you prefer a more comfortable ride, take a seat in one of the Siky Express carriages and explore the park on rails, passing meerkats, capuchin monkeys and other animals. In addition to pony rides and go-karting, the Siky Park also has a playground for children to run around, play and let off steam. A self-service restaurant serves delicious food and drinks. The Sikypark is open all year round with seasonal changes and is a great destination for a day out not far from Bern and Basel.
