About the Park
The privately run Plättli Zoo has been located in Frauenfeld in the Swiss canton of Thurgau, around 30 kilometres from Constance, since 1958. The small but charming zoo is home to around 200 animals from around 50 species, including Barbary macaques, llamas, lions, chimpanzees, raccoons and porcupines, as well as parrots. A highlight is certainly the petting zoo, where you can get very close to the animals and even feed them with the food available at Plättli Zoo. The children's playground with various play equipment, which can also be used without visiting the park, and the Plättli restaurant with its picturesque landscape and views of the Thur valley are perfect places to linger. The Plättli Zoo with its family-friendly admission prices and its animal inhabitants is open 365 days a year.
