Erlebnis Flugplatz Sitterdorf

Located about 20 km northwest of St. Gallen and 30 km from Konstanz, in the Swiss canton of Thurgau, the Sitterdorf Adventure Airfield is situated in Zihlschlacht-Sitterdorf. As the name “Adventure Airfield” suggests, this is much more than an ordinary airfield. The approximately 100,000-square-meter site includes not only flight operations but also an animal and amusement park, a nature trail, and a racetrack for model race cars. In addition to a Butterfly, a Luna , a park railway, and the Skydive, there are also two Nautic Jets and other small play structures and rides. For the electrically powered rides, you’ll need tokens, which you can obtain from a change machine. Please note that the machine only accepts Swiss francs, not foreign currencies. At some machines, you can also pay with euros or a card. At the “AirFood” restaurant, with a direct view of the airfield, you can choose from a variety of food and drinks to refuel. Various events, such as the Airlebnistage, where you can experience special airplanes and helicopters, among other things, provide even more variety at the airfield.
