Once upon a time ...

Agnes and Mr Daler, a married couple from Gothenburg in the 18th century, led a life full of contrasts. Agnes, born into a distinguished family, showed an insatiable thirst for adventure and an extraordinary ability to discover beauty in everything around her. Her husband, Mr Daler, on the other hand, was a successful businessman with a touch of controversy in his track record. Agnes loved travelling the world. Originally with the aim of exploring business opportunities, she instead brought home a wealth of curiosities, remarkable artefacts and magical experiences. Her tales of her collection and adventures enchanted even the most sceptical listeners.

The collection of curiosities, remarkable objects and stories from Agnes' notebooks has now grown to become the centrepiece of the Grand Curiosa Hotel.
