Aquaparque Madeira

Madeira is a unique archipelago located more than 700 kilometres west of the Moroccan coast in the Atlantic Ocean. As part of Portugal, Madeira, with its approximately 250,000 inhabitants, belongs to the European Union, but offers them only about 800 km² of surface area, most of which is very mountainous. In the south of the island is not only the main town of Funchal, but less than 20 kilometres to the west - between Gaula and Santa Cruz, within sight of Christiano Ronaldo Airport - the small water park Aquaparque Madeira has been located since 2012. Taken over by a new owner in 2017, it offers a varied experience for visitors. In addition to swimming pools for younger and older guests, it offers a lazy river where you can float around in a tyre and let your eyes wander over the landing planes. From a slide tower, you can go down one of the two tyre slides quite quickly in a tyre or go down the Pista Rápida parallel to each other - great fun for the whole family,

The daily bird and reptile show, which starts at 15.30h every day and involves guests interactively in the action - often in a humorous way - for more than half an hour, deserves special mention.

- It is recommended to wear appropriate footwear on the green areas. This recommendation should be strongly followed when walking on the lawns (and you do this relatively often in a water park), as plants with small thorns grow between the grasses.
