Der Wilde Berg Mautern

In Mautern, Austria, in beautiful Styria, in the Liesing Valley, not far from Leoben, Graz and Liezen, lies the "Wild Mountain Mautern". More than 300 alpine animals such as wolves, bears, owls, donkeys and ibexes as well as many other animal inhabitants are waiting to be observed and marvelled at. At 1100 m above sea level, a very special highlight awaits you, the bird of prey flight show. Here the falconers, but above all the birds of prey such as the eagle, buzzard, bearded owl, falcon, vulture and also the red kite show you their flying skills with the best thermals and a wonderful landscape. In addition to the animals, the 65-hectare site also includes the Kinder-Stadl, an indoor playground with real straw and hay, the children's farm and a play park with various rides, some of which you have to pay for, such as Luna , Skydive, Butterfly or the children's free-fall tower, but of course also various playgrounds. Towards the valley station, you are spoilt for choice and have to decide whether you want to walk down to the valley, take the chairlift, the mountain karts or the Wiesengleiter summer toboggan run.
