Zwijndrecht (NL) - Kermis

The fair in Zwijndrecht is a classic example of a cosy, local folk festival deeply rooted in the community of this South Holland town. It is traditionally held in the heart of the town on Raadhuisplein (Town Hall Square).

Thanks to its location directly in front of the modern town hall and in the immediate vicinity of the ‘Walburg’ shopping centre, the fair offers a very accessible and welcoming atmosphere. In the evening, the Raadhuisplein is transformed into a lively meeting place for local young people thanks to the colourful lighting of the rides, whilst the architecture of the town hall provides a functional yet striking backdrop to the festive atmosphere.
