's-Hertogenbosch (NL) - Bosch Winters Paradepaardje

The Bosch Winters Paradepaardje is the annual festive highlight of the winter programme in 's-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch) in the Netherlands and is considered the beating heart of the so-called ‘Bossche Winter’ initiative. This winter paradise traditionally takes place on the central square De Parade, transforming it into an enchanting, atmospheric backdrop for the whole family.

The main attraction of the event is a large, covered ice rink (often around 500 m²), which offers winter fun for beginners and experienced skaters alike. There are other highlights surrounding the ice rink: the cosy and heated Winterland Café, which invites visitors to linger with live music and warm drinks, as well as a Ferris wheel and a nostalgic carousel, which are particularly popular with children. Stalls selling winter food and drinks and a large Christmas tree complete the festive atmosphere. The grounds are generally freely accessible, although there is a charge for using the ice rink and the rides. The event runs throughout the Christmas season and is an important meeting place for residents and visitors to enjoy the cold season together in a warm atmosphere.
