Enschede (NL) - Halloween Kirmes

The Halloween Fair in Enschede is a folk festival held during the autumn holidays with a unique, eerily beautiful theme. It differs from ordinary fairs in its special location and the atmosphere it creates.

The fair takes place in the Volkspark, the oldest public park in the Netherlands, which gives it a particularly picturesque backdrop, especially in the evening hours when the rides and stalls are festively lit up in the dark. The entire grounds are immersed in a spooky Halloween theme, which increases its appeal to visitors.

The fair traditionally presents around 60 different attractions and rides for all age groups. In addition to classic carousels and bumper cars, roller coasters and high rides are often also represented.

A special feature are the Halloween activities that are often organised, such as spooky parades or ‘ghost walks’ through the park, which offer visitors an extra thrill.

The culinary offerings are typical of a Dutch fair and include hearty dishes as well as a wealth of sweet treats, including poffertjes (small pancakes), candy floss and other Halloween-themed sweets.
