Description
You can hear them panting from afar, the wonderful steam steeds of the Efteling steam train company.
For the pleasure of all railway fans, they make their rounds through the park. Three of the four locomotives are always on the rails.
"Moortje" is the oldest of the locomotives and dates from 1908. "Aagje" is only a few years younger and was built in 1911.
The third in the round is "Trijntje", who only came to the park in 1992.
A fourth locomotive has retired in front of the station building on Sint Nicolaasplaets.
There "Neefje" from 1914 is available to the curious, younger and older steam locomotive fans to explore and play.
Dieseltje I and Dieseltje II, on the other hand, are only used for maintenance and shunting work and run on diesel.
