Bommelwereld

Bommelwereld – A new theme park experience based on the world of Bommel

On 3 October 2025, Bommelwereld, a brand new theme park, will open its doors – a unique experience dedicated entirely to the popular characters Bommel and Tom Poes. The park is being built in the Netherlands, in the municipality of Zaltbommel, and offers a family-friendly destination full of fantasy, humour and Dutch comic culture.

At the heart of the park is the lovingly designed world surrounding Bommelstein Castle, which plays a central role in the stories of Marten Toonder. Visitors can immerse themselves in the world of comics with interactive attractions, atmospheric backdrops and numerous opportunities to discover, play and marvel.

A special highlight is the roller coaster that winds its way through the Bommelwereld landscape. The ride is designed to be family-friendly, but still offers enough action to thrill older children and adults alike.

Other features in the park include themed playgrounds, adventure areas, small exhibitions on the history of comics and Bommelwereld-style catering. The combination of traditional Dutch storytelling and modern leisure activities makes Bommelwereld a special place – not only for fans of the books and comics, but for anyone who loves fairy-tale worlds.
