Description
The Pied Piper of Hamelin
A strange man appeared in the town of Hamelin. He wore a robe made of colorful cloth and pretended to be the Pied Piper. He promised to rid the town of all mice and rats for a certain amount of money. The citizens promised to pay him and so the Pied Piper took out his pipe, played a tune and all the mice and rats came out of all the houses. Then he took them to the river, where they all drowned.
The citizens no longer wanted to keep their word and pay the Pied Piper, so he left in anger.
Some time later, the Pied Piper came back disguised as a hunter, while all the citizens were in church....
