Yokohama Cosmo World is a charming amusement park with an urban atmosphere, located in the Minato Mirai 21 harbor district in Yokohama. What makes it special is that there are no fences and admission is free. Visitors can stroll freely around the grounds and pay with individual tickets only for the rides they wish to enjoy. The park’s and the skyline’s unmistakable landmark is the 112.5-meter-tall Cosmo Clock 21 Ferris wheel, which offers a breathtaking view of the bay. After sunset, it transforms into a colorful sea of lights thanks to LEDs. Right next to it is the action-packed Wonder Amuse Zone. Here, the “Vanish!” Diving Coaster provides thrills—a roller coaster that, after a rapid descent, appears to sink into a water basin. The calmer areas stretch out across a bridge. In the colorful Burano Street Zone, attractions such as a mirror maze and a haunted house await. In the Kids Carnival Zone, younger children can safely ride carousels and a mini-train.

The park is perfectly connected and is just a few minutes’ walk from the Minatomirai or Sakuragicho train stations. If you’d like, you can take the “Yokohama Air Cabin” urban cable car directly over the harbor basin to the park. Since the park is often closed on Thursdays, it’s worth checking the calendar in advance.
