Tokyo DisneySea / 東京ディズニーシー

Right next to Disneyland Tokyo, the second Disney park opened in 2001: Tokyo Disney Sea in the Japanese town of Urayasu, less than 20 kilometres from Tokyo. The park is operated under licence by The Oriental Land Company and is the popular extension of the Disney Resort. The park was the 4th most visited park in the world in 2019, with around 14.7 million visitors. Visitors enjoy seven themed areas which include Mediterranean Harbor, American Waterfront, Port Discovery, Lost River Delta, Arabian Coast, Mermaid Lagoon and Mysterious Island. Two roller coasters (the newest of which was built in 2005) can be found here, as well as many other well-known attractions such as the Tower of Terror and Toy Story Mania. The park is also known for its grandiose theming and differs from a classic Disney park.
