The interactive walk-through attraction Speleos at Italy’s Parco Oltremare offers visitors the country’s only authentic cave exploration experience within an amusement park. Designed as an adventurous exploration trail, the experience invites guests to step into the role of speleologists and explore a mysterious underground world on foot. The dimly lit path leads guests past lifelike replicas of stalactites and stalagmites, while a cool ambient temperature and atmospheric soundscapes featuring dripping water perfectly enhance the illusion of a real limestone cave. Along the expedition route, budding explorers encounter fascinating discoveries such as prehistoric rock paintings, fossilized imprints in the rock, and the bones of prehistoric cave bears. As part of the “Oltremare 2.0” concept, this attraction combines playful adventure with geological education and, as part of an accessible indoor loop trail, connects directly to the Genesis themed area and the Sapiens Gallery.
