About the Park
A good 55 kilometres east of Italy's capital Rome, on the A1 autostrada, lies the town of Valmontone with its more than 15,000 inhabitants. The mighty Palazzo Doria Pamphilj with its 365 rooms dominates the townscape from afar. It was built in 1654-1670 by Mattia de Rossi, a pupil of Bernini, and decorated with frescoes by numerous artists. A few kilometres further on is another of the town's attractions: the Magicland amusement park. The 60-hectare area also includes the small MagicSplash water park. It has a wave pool and several slides, making it the perfect place to cool off on hot summer days.
