About the Park
In London's Bankside district, right on the Thames in the historic County Hall, directly opposite the London Eye, you'll find London Dungeon. The Dungeon was originally the first of its kind to open in Tooley Street underneath the tracks of London Bridge Station in 1974. The London Dungeon is an exciting combination of a chamber of horrors, history lesson with scares and some rides. As you tour the 17 stations, professional actors re-enact scenes from London's bloody history from 1536 to 1896. You'll meet Jack The Ripper, Sweeny Todd, Bloody Mary and Alexander Bean, as well as the Great Plague and the fire of 2 September 1666. A visit to the London Dungeon is recommended for children aged 10 and over. A visit to the Dungeon can be combined with a ride on the London Eye, the second highest Ferris wheel in Europe at 135 metres.
