Dudley Zoo and Castle

In Dudley in the West Midlands, around 16 miles (approx. 26 km) north-west of Birmingham, Dudley Zoo has been located in the ruins of Dudley Castle since 1937. There are over 1,500 animals from around 200 species to discover on the zoo's 16-hectare site, including monkeys, flamingos, tortoises, naked mole rats, owls, arctic foxes, snow leopards and sea lions. In addition to the many animals and show feedings, Dudley Zoo and Castle also has a chairlift that takes you comfortably into the zoo, a small amusement park including a rollercoaster. Of course, the zoo also offers a wide range of food and drink in the various restaurants and snack stands. Dudley Zoo and Castle is open all year round and invites visitors on an exciting journey of discovery at this historic site.
