About the Park

35 kilometres north of Dover and around 125 kilometres east of Britain's capital London, Margate is located directly on the Straits of Dover / North Sea. The secret capital of the term "cool" delights its visitors with a diverse selection of attractions that will make granny feel like she's back in "her day" and kids shout "again". Three roller coasters await you here. The oldest one is from 1923 and the newest one from 2023. The park is run on the Tivoli principle, which means that admission is free and the rides are paid per ride. Dreamland Margate has existed since 1863, but was closed down between 2005 and 18.06.2015.

The park has had the following previous names:

- 1863 to 1919: Hall by the Sea

- 1920 to 1980: Dreamland

- 1981 to 1989: Bembom Brothers Theme Park

- since 1990: Dreamland
