Blackpool South Pier

In the north-west of England, in the county of Lancashire, you will find the coastal town of and the South Pier amusement park, one of a total of three piers in the town, directly on the Irish Sea. Opened in 1893 and formerly known as Victoria Pier, the 149m long pier offers a variety of bars and amusement arcades as well as fourteen different rides for young and old. In contrast to the Central Pier and the North Pier, adrenaline junkies can also enjoy rides here, with the Sky Screamer, a sling shot and the 36 m high Skycoaster a bungee experience for adrenaline addicts. For families, the South Pier offers a rollercoaster, bumper cars, windscreen wiper, carousel, bungee trampolines, waltzer and break dance. South Pier is owned by The Pier Company, as are the other two piers, North Pier and Central Pier. There is no general admission charge to the piers, but tickets can be purchased and redeemed at the rides. Take advantage of the savings offers at the piers.
