About the Park
Opened in 1974 under the name Birmingham Nature Centre, Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park (first opened in 1964 from Birmingham Zoo) is a small zoo managed by Birmingham City Council. It is located on the edge of Cannon Hill Park; there is also a very small amusement park in the park itself. Back to the zoo: on an area of about 2.5ha, animals from all over the world are presented. Lemurs, otters or red pandas can be found here as well as kangaroos and insects.
