Saint-Dizier (F) - Foire de Pâques

The Foire de Pâques in Saint-Dizier is the largest fairground event in the Haute-Marne department and traditionally marks the festive highlight of the Easter season in the Grand Est region. Every year, an impressive amusement park is set up in the spacious Parc du Jard, which covers an area of around 25,000 to 30,000 square metres. With a capacity of around 80 to 100 showmen's businesses, this Easter fair is one of the most important fairground events in eastern France. During its two-week duration, the event regularly attracts between 40,000 and 60,000 visitors.

The atmosphere in Saint-Dizier is characterised by a mixture of modern fairground technology and deep-rooted tradition. The Parc du Jard is transformed into a dense network of colourful lights, music and dynamism. The range of attractions on offer is impressively diverse, from gigantic rides that can be seen far beyond the city limits to numerous family-friendly attractions. The layout of the stalls creates a lively festival avenue where the city's social life pulsates.

In terms of cuisine, the Foire de Pâques offers a true feast for the senses. The smell of freshly baked beignets, croustillons and the crêpes and gaufres that are indispensable in France is in the air. Hearty specialities and local snack classics are also an integral part of the gastronomic offerings. A special feature of the fair are the themed action days, such as the traditional family day with reduced prices, as well as the festive parades and mascot parades, which are particularly popular with young visitors. When dusk falls and the countless neon lights of the rides bathe the park in a sea of colour, the Foire de Pâques becomes the atmospheric centre of the entire region.
