About the Park
Since it was founded in 1934, Parc Zoologique de Paris has presented around 2,000 animals of over 180 species on an area of over 14 hectares. The zoo is divided into several areas, called biotopes, which introduce visitors to endemic animal species. These biotopes show the regions of Madagascar with its tropical rainforest and tropical dry forest, Patagonia (part of South America), Amazonian Guyana within a huge glass house, Europe and finally Africa. In terms of visitor numbers, the zoo is ranked 1st in France.
